Do I need to enter my portfolio every time?

Accepted Answer

No — as you build your portfolio, your browser's address bar updates automatically to match it, so you can just bookmark or copy the URL directly and it'll reload the exact same tickers and amounts next time. There's also a Copy Link button if that's easier, or use Download Portfolio to save it as a CSV file and upload that instead. We don't offer direct brokerage account integration yet, since those connections are costly to license and maintain, but it's something we may add in the future.

Do you store my portfolio?

Accepted Answer

No. There's no login, and your portfolio isn't saved in our database — it's used only to generate your report. We do use product analytics to monitor and improve the product.

Question 3

What if a fund isn't found or is out of date?

Accepted Answer

Each fund shows its filing date so you can see exactly how current its data is. Filings are typically updated quarterly by the fund itself.

How long does it take?

Popular ETFs and mutual funds are usually already in our system and unwrap in seconds. If you enter one we haven't seen before, we fetch its SEC filing on the spot — that can take up to a couple of minutes, and you'll see live progress as each ticker unwraps.

Are mutual funds as accurate as ETFs?

Both are unwrapped from the same kind of SEC filing, refreshed on the same quarterly cycle. But actively-managed mutual funds typically trade more than index-tracking ETFs, so their real holdings can drift further from the last filing by the time you view them — ETFs, especially index funds, tend to change more slowly between filings.

Does this work for international or foreign-listed funds?

Only for U.S.-registered funds today — we unwrap any ETF or mutual fund that files Form N-PORT with the SEC, which covers virtually all US-listed funds but not funds domiciled or listed outside the US. Individual US-listed stocks, including foreign companies' ADRs, work fine as direct positions either way — and once a US fund is unwrapped, its real international holdings still show up with full country breakdown. The limit is which funds we can look up, not what countries appear inside them.

Is there a limit on how many holdings or positions I can enter?

You can enter 100+ positions in one portfolio — enough for the overwhelming majority of real accounts.

Question 8

How do leveraged ETFs like TQQQ work in your tool?

Accepted Answer

By default, we show you synthetic holdings: for TQQQ (3x), that's 3x the holdings and sectors of QQQ. This tells you the economic exposure you're getting. You can toggle to real SEC holdings if you want to see the actual swap contracts and collateral the fund holds. For thematic leveraged ETFs where we can't determine the underlying (like fintech-focused funds), we show real holdings instead.
